Ashu & Antu get a summer make over!

Remember this old post when Ashu had her first hair cut? Well, after three and a half years, history repeats itself!

Here is Antu! We did nt have the heart to chop it all off like we did for Ashu when she was 4 though!

This truly broke my heart. But what to do?

Adorable!!

Children's hair need to be cut short to keep mommies sane is my motto.

I get opposition from every one, but I play the 'I AM THE MOTHER' trump card and get my way.

Rakshahis you and that utbt are!! The kiddos want to be like Rapunzel and you two witches cut their hair! Never mind that those 4 look adorable with any length hair!!

I hate mothers for this :( My daughter goes thro' this even after my stiff opposition...

They look more like babies with the haircut - eyes softer, cheeks rounder

Whenever kids or Adults get their hair cut to a shorter length I feel they look much younger:)

And both your kutties look very cute in the new cut...me like:)

The hair looks cute with this length. I really like the look.

My take on hair is that when they are old enough to look after it, then they decide. When they can wash (to our standards), comb and keep away from the face, then they can grow it! Till then mommy rules (actually even after that, but that they don't know!)

Both of them look great with their new haircuts. It is better to have shorter hair when they are kids since they are always in the sun or in the pool. Easy to wash it everyday.

Ashu's curly hair seems more straight now - is it because of gel? Do kids get straight hair after a few cuts? My kid's hair is wavy/curly and she thinks cutting it will make it straight.

Utbtkids - if i did nt tame the hair three times a day, they looked like street urchins! My fingers thank me now! :)

YY - pesardhu romba easy....

Ashok - I hate mothers for this too. :(

Justanothermommy - Then good! :)

Tanvis mom - yup. and whenever we have to go out, I now say "Ashu! brush your hair, lets go!" relief!

Bhavani - thats true. kids can get away with anything! :)

crabbymommy - ha ha! true.

Vidya - no gel. coz of the cuts and also the constant brushing/plaiting makes it more wavy and less curly.

Me - wow at Hobbes! both my kids brought the roof down during mottai! But hair cuts were a breeze!
