Halloween.

We carved our first ever pumpkin today on the occasion of Halloween. I bought the smallest pumpkin in the store, took the print out of a template and the carving instructions, laid out the table with newspaper, the required tools and the pumpkin, ofcourse. And then outsourced the dirty job to Hd.

Daughter and Father had fun together while I tried hard not to criticize the work of art in progress!! So heres the result. To actually see how small the pumpkin is, another one with Ashu in it. The pumpkin is exactly the size of Antus head now! :)

Happy Halloween, everyone! Boo!

ps.
Thanks Sundar for the inspiration! :)

Very nice. the pumpkin does look big by itself. Good you attached the other photo to get the correct perspective. By the way, the other photo is very nice. Looks like you used selective desaturation technique (selectively desaturate some colors to make it into gray scale or black and white)

Awww! Your Hd's first pumpkin :)
Congratulate him on that.

@ home, I wasn't going to get a pumpkin, but the kids went on a field trip and landed with two pumpkins. I convinced them that we can paint on pumpkin and call it dhrishti pumpkin. They fell for it.

Job well done indeed ! Was there anything to criticize ?

@UTBT ... the same happened in our house too. Cantaloupe got a pumpkin from her field trip which she had painted and I convinced her that it was the best and we rested our carving plans :)

Looks perfect. We have been carving for 2 years now. My daughter S loves to scoop the guts out of the pumpkin. She drew the face and I cut them out.
