ps.
If anyone is on their way to Vaitheeswaran Kovil for a mottai, Sankara Madam is a good and clean choice to stay for a couple of hours. For Rs.25 per person, you can use the hall, bring the Barber there and get the mottai done in the front yard, use the bathroom at the back to bathe the baby and the baby sitter(!). For an additional Rs.50, you can also get a room if its not occupied. And its a stones throw from the Kovil. (near the entrance to the kulam) For Ashu, we went to the public Mandapam especially for mottais and it was very unclean.
She is looking so cute, Boo.
ReplyDeleteCuddle her for me, and Ashu too.
i agree with ashu!
ReplyDeleteHey Boo...Now Antu looks like Ashu [ well , I guess that means the second one is also taking after you in the looks dept :) ]
ReplyDeleteSmiles
Antu's so adorable in her pavadai chattai..:-)
ReplyDeleteantu looks very cute. I just got my daughter's mottai done at tirupathi and next on the cards is vaidheshwaran koil. I will keep that place in mind when I go... Thanks for the info
ReplyDeleteacho! kutti paapakku mottai potacha!?
ReplyDeletekannadi munnala poi ninnu ragala panna pora innumel.
thats so eerily similar! i mean they are sisters, but still!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Boo, I'm one of the new moms on blogosphere. Seeing your little mottai sent me down memory lane. I remember the way my daughter patted her head with a smile when asked, 'Mottai kutty enge irukkaa?' :)
ReplyDeleteUma
I cannot help but be dazzled by mottais. So am back again.. to aww and gasp at the wonderfulness of a mottai.
ReplyDeleteSuch joy!
Antu looks so different now. India trip has totally changed the way she looks, even the non-mottai photo.
ReplyDeleteMottai is for their good, but I feel sad to see Mottai kutty the first few days, then once that little..teeny-weeny itsy-bitsy hair starts to show up. I am happy.
As everyone already pointed out, now Ashu and Antu look strikingly similar and cute.
Even Antu has curly hair, but looks like soft curls.
hey, its difficult to pin them down and hold steady for the mottai.n the tears and struggle is only for that 15-20 minutes, later they are their usual self, full of masti and joy with little realisation of what has happened. btw, i also had my mottai at Vaitheeswaran Koil some 26-27 yrs back.:)
ReplyDeleteWithin a week, antu seems to have transformed into ashu. But, how?
ReplyDeleteShe has even lost the quizzical expression she normally sports while facing the camera.
Aal maratama?
