I happened to watch not only the movie but also the shooting of this movie which was shot near my school in T.nagar, Chennai.
As far as the film is concerned, its one of the goodies delivered from KB. "Sathi maali" song from that movie is one of my all time favourite song.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15986701.post-74253014014425522482008-07-01T09:23:00.000+02:002008-07-01T09:23:00.000+02:00I JUST LOVE THE MOVIE... Very good story, acting, and good music. We cannot point out at one specific person's act in this film, because all and everyones acting is perfect. I very much like the Sophna character, a very naughty at the same time very admirable character. It is really impossible for any other actress to play such a role other than Madhubala. Also the young kids played very beautiful role, especially that little boy tells" namma yengavathu poi poranthirukkalamda!
". very niceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15986701.post-7903999410512405152007-03-26T22:49:00.000+02:002007-03-26T22:49:00.000+02:00I remember watching Azhagan in our famous SIGC hos...I remember watching Azhagan in our famous SIGC hostel :)

It was one of the few good Tamil movies that I watched in my lifetime. Not that my lifetime is nearing end!!

Just that the prospect of watching a good Tamil movie without translating seems elusive. The jokes are lost in translation!!Manchushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15460559459309477274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15986701.post-1157430700942577952006-09-05T06:31:00.000+02:002006-09-05T06:31:00.000+02:00Azhagan triviaActually Azhagan was a medium hit - ...Azhagan trivia

Actually Azhagan was a medium hit - considering that it was aimed at the city people. KB did that movie for KC films International, on a special request to Mr Kovai Chezhiyan; otherwise KB was directing for Kavithalaya (his home production)only. Apparently KB had written the script for Kamal, but somehow that didn't transpire. Mammooty had performed the role perfectly - I think Mammooty was ultimately a better choice. Yes the dances by Bhanupriya were excellent in that movie. It was also the debut film for Madhubala, the naughty college girl. The music was by Maragathamani, who had also scored the music for Vaaname Ellai. The Visitorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06379204603893147923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15986701.post-1136214362172142202006-01-02T16:06:00.000+01:002006-01-02T16:06:00.000+01:00My fav scene... (after Sangeetha Swarangal, that is!)the one where Mamooty comes to talk to Bhanupriya and she's dancing in a rage... he turns off the music and she still continues as rhythmically as before... the one and only movie where I too liked Bhanupriya! Balachander sometimes just dazzles!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
